Lead Installation Technician

Employee Bio

I’m Grant, and I’m the Lead Installation Technician here at West Window Treatments. I’m new to the team but I have years of construction experience and a real love for working with my hands. From day one, I’ve loved being on job sites, surveying spaces, talking with supervisors, and going over floor plans to make sure everything is set up right before we even start installing. I’m big on preparation, because that’s what makes the end result look effortless.

What I love most about my job is chasing perfection. I take a lot of pride in clean lines, tight details, and installs that are done right. My favorite projects are our built-in concealed roller blind boxes. They’re installed early in construction, completely hidden, and designed to motorize our roller shades.

I enjoy motorized projects the most. Homeowners don’t always realize how much on-site problem solving goes into a great install. No two houses are the same, so thinking on your feet and finding the best solution is a big part of what we do. I would describe my work style as a “smooth operator” even if a project is complex I can complete it with ease.

When I’m helping make sure an install goes smoothly, I always stick to a detailed step-by-step process. That’s how you avoid mistakes and make sure homeowners feel confident and taken care of. My goal is always for the finished product to look clean, seamless, and exactly how it was envisioned.

Outside of work, you’ll probably find me at the Ogden Athletic Club working out. I am a big outdoors guy, I enjoy fly fishing, running, hiking and spending time with my dog. On install days, I keep it simple—peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and Goldfish crackers are my go-to snack. Fun fact about me: I’m blind in one of my eyes.

What I want clients to know about working with me is that I care a lot about the final result. I treat every home like it’s my own, and I don’t walk away until it looks right. What makes West Window Treatments special is that everything is custom and made in-house, which means we can control quality from start to finish. Being part of a team that builds, designs, and installs everything under one roof is something I’m really proud of.
